Overview

Bolander was awarded the City of Eagan NE Sanitary Sewer Upsizing project Spring 2024. The project was located near the Vikings Training Facility in Eagan, MN (TCO Stadum).

Sanitary sewer upsizing was needed to service the new apartment complexes and other new development around TCO stadium. The existing sanitary sewer, an 8” line, was upgraded to an 18” ductile iron line.

Our scope of work consisted of installing the new run of 18” Ductile Iron Piping, approximately 20’ below existing grade running 1,100’, thru wetlands. To complete this we utilized trench boxes and dewatered a majority of the site in a very tight working area. All restoration items including seeding, trail paving, roadway reconstruction, curb and gutter were also included in our contract for this project.

One unique piece of this project was the 30” diameter 83’ auger bore casing installed at Vikings Parkway; this was one of Bolander’s first self-performed auger boring projects.
